As many people all know nuclear weapons are deadly and not to be taken lightly. A lot of people know about the tragedy of Hiroshima when we dropped an atomic bomb on them. It killed thousands instantly, injured more, and the radiation poisoning took care of the rest. So why remind you of this horrible piece of history? Because without history we are doomed to repeat the mistakes of the past.
After the initial blast of a nuclear weapon or bomb, the contamination process begins. These types of weapons are filled with a lethal chemical called Chernobyl which is part of what killed so many in Hiroshima. Alongside of that, the area around the target immediately heats to tens of millions of degrees Fahrenheit. A while after that cools there is a great amount of electromagnetic radiation, there is not much chance of survival from nuclear bombs.
Surprisingly, the political candidates are in agreement on this issue. Both believe that the world can survive without nuclear weapons. They cause so much damage and could severely injure our country if we were hit with one. Other countries are continuing to develop them though and I believe a common goal is to halt their production as well. If we have other countries dangling their knowledge over us we could wind up at their mercy and we CANNOT afford for that to happen.
