Though John McCain may not be able to use computers to their full advantage because of his disadvantage, he has a lot of opinions on them. He wants to put a permanent ban on state and local taxes for internet access. He also wants to create sights for emergency officials. Plus he wants to create websites that issue awards to government officials. John McCain has been penalized by the people for his lack of knowledge on computers because he can’t use them. His arms were broken and deformed during his time in captivity. But, it’s really not important for the president to use MySpace, when he should be concentrating on keeping our country safe.
But still, John McCain wants to take technology developments to a new level, for both communication purposes and to solve problems facing our country, such as addressing the climate change and better educating children. He is the former chairman of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation, and thus knows a lot about the issues affecting the people. John McCain wants to keep the internet free of unnecessary regulations. Isn’t that what most of us want?
On the other hand, Barack Obama wants more restrictions put on the internet, limiting search engines to a minimum. But he, like McCain, wants to use technology for the more pressing issues of our country, which hopefully will provide a solution. He also wants to use it to conduct business in Washington. Seeing how privileged Americans are, he wants to see to it that all of the access to technology that we have is utilized to its full extent. Obama wants to create alternate fuel sources and clean sources of energy for our nation. In the end, the candidates do not have many differing views on this subject.
