John McCain was born August 29, 1936 to John S. McCain Jr. and Roberta (Wright) McCain. Both his father and his grandfather were US Navy admirals. After moving around a great deal throughout his school years he attended the US Naval Academy at Annapolis. In 1965 McCain married Carol Shepp, a model from Philadelphia. McCain has a long history of working his way up through the US Military, including many near-death experiences trying to save fellow soldiers. On October 26, 1967, McCain was on his 23rd bombing expedition over North Vietnam when a missile struck his plane. He had to eject from his plane and fell unconscious. He was taken captive and denied medical treatment as he refused to inform them of the opposition’s plans for attack. Both of his arms and his right knee were broken. At one point he was facing certain death and was given medical treatment when his captors learned the identity of his father, a strong admiral. The treatment was lousy and they pressed him for military information, which he falsely supplied. During his captivity there was a time when he was placed in casts and put into a clean room with a bed, this was for an interview. He was told repeatedly to lie about the camp and his captors which he would not. After the interview he was told that his job was unsatisfactory and he was moved back to his previous arrangement. He was kept in captivity for 5 ½ years before he was finally released. He had to undergo many surgeries to get his arms back in working order, today he still can’t use them to full capacity
In 1979 he met Cindy Lou Hensley, a teacher from Phoenix. He and his wife divorced a year later and only about a month after he and Cindy married. His two eldest sons, Doug and Andy, were adopted by McCain when he was with Carol Shepp. He also had a daughter with Carol named Sidney. John and Cindy had three children, Meghan, Jimmy, and Jack. They also adopted a daughter, Bridget, from Bangladesh. He retired from the Navy in 1981 and began in politics. He is currently a US Senator with his son Jimmy in the US Navy.

At the age of 42, Palin became the first female and youngest governor ever of Alaska. Miss Palin made kept all of her promises to make major budget cuts and cut way down on all of the allotted areas where money was focused. Barack Hussein Obama
Obama was born August 4, 1961 to Barack Obama Sr. and Ann Dunham in Honolulu, Hawaii. His parents divorced when he was two years old. Afterward his mother remarried and they resettled in Indonesia until he was 10. He later returned to Hawaii to live with his grandparents. In the book Obama Nation: Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality, Jerome Corsi describes how Obama “…did his best to fit in socially, while struggling to make modest grades.” In his biography Obama describes his “hazy” memory of high school, filled with drug abuse and severe alcohol consumption. This begs the question of how someone who struggled with school and was considered a procrastinator made it into the Harvard law program. Obama also earned a degree at Columbia University in 1983. In his biographies he refers to his drug use as “a search for identity”. He connects his race with inexcusable behaviors? Yet in interviews with a friend from high school named Keith Kakugawa (identified in his biography as “Ray”) he says “Barry’s biggest struggles were with his feelings of abandonment. The idea that his biggest struggle was race is (bull).” So why would he lie about his struggles and background in high school? Is he trying to gain racial sympathy?
After he earned a degree in law Obama began his practice as a civil rights lawyer and then went on to teach constitutional law. In 2004 he was elected into the US senate. Obama met his wife, Michelle, in 1989 while employed in a small Chicago law firm. After they were married they had two children Malia and Natasha. One of the highlights of Obama’s platform is finding alternate sources of fuel for our country and of course “change” for our country as he is critically opposed to all things George Bush.

Joe Biden
Joseph Robinette Biden Jr.
Joe Biden was born November 20, 1942 in Scranton, PA as the first of four children. He lived there for 10 years before moving to Delaware. He graduated from Syracuse University in 1968, and then moved to Wilmington to set up his own firm. He was later elected to city council in 1970. In 1972 he was elected onto the senate after unseating a member and has already served 5-6 year terms. Directly after his first election into the senate his wife and daughter were killed in a car accident. He was remarried in 1977 to a teacher named Jill Jacobs. He has three children Beau, Hunter, and Ashley. In 1988, Biden nearly succumbed to a cranial aneurysm, but recovered after two surgeries.
He has great knowledge of foreign policies; one of the key factors in Obama’s choosing him as his VP. Biden’s main concerns lie in terrorism, drug policy, and many issues that matter a great deal to women. He has taken unusually high precautions against felons and has increased the amount of policemen on the streets by over 100,000! He also helped introduce the senate to the idea of global warming. Plus he has worked on trying to bring more members into NATO and tried unsuccessfully to ban budget cuts to the military while the country is at war. Overall, Biden has many successful achievements and was most likely the best choice for Obama’s VP.

Mission Statements
Mission Statements:
"Let us now embark upon this great journey into the stars to find whatever may await us."
-John McCain
John McCain’s mission in this election is to bring what God wants into the government. To reform the American point of view on how things should be done in Washington. He wants to do things for the better of the people and not himself. He is making it his job to make the US what the founders wanted it to be.
“Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.”
-Barack Obama
Barack Obama’s mission in this election is to bring change to the government according to what he thinks it should be. He wants to turn away from the policies that George Bush implemented on the US and basically start over. He is making it his job to make the US what he believes it should be according to influences such as Jeremiah Wright [yippee].

10 Political Issues
#1- Abortion- John McCain is pro-life. Abortion is killing innocent babies that haven’t even had a chance at life yet. Millions of families want to adopt new born babies and raise them in a loving environment. Do we have any idea what this child could do or could be capable of? Who are we to decide if an innocent child should live or die? We are not God. Abortion is wrong. Barack Obama is pro-choice, excuse me, pro-death.
#2- Education-John McCain wants to make the standards of achievement higher. He doesn’t want people to be able to accept lower standards for certain children, he wants all to have the same levels of excellence. He doesn’t want the differences in Public and Private schools to make a difference in the educations of children. He believes that all should have the same opportunities. Obama basically has the same beliefs of wanting children to have equal opportunities no matter where you go to school or what your life is like.
#3- Death Penalty- John McCain supports the death penalty. Some people say “Throw them in a cell for the rest of their lives!” But what happens if that person escapes? Will they become good, law abiding citizens? Or will they do more harm? The answer is pretty obvious. Barack Obama wants to eliminate the death penalty and wants to “reform the death penalty by ‘listening and compromising.’”
#4- Environment -Many of parts of this issue are agreed upon between parties. Both want to preserve wildlife habitats and both want to create alternate sources of clean energy. They differ in the area of how much money they want to put into this. Barack Obama wants to put 100 billion dollars into theses alternate sources, which could take up to 10 years to develop. McCain wants to drill offshore, which is a solution NOW and find these alternate sources with extra money out of a carefully planned budget.
#5- Health care - Is there such a thing as “free healthcare”? If our government decides to give free healthcare to everybody, where are they going to get the money? Taxes, which will have to sky rocket for them to pay for it. Healthcare covers everything from an infected toenail to open heart surgery. Which means if my neighbor decides his tummy aches then who will be paying for the visit to the doctor? The tax payers. Which are who? Everyone around him. Is that fair? The answer is no. John McCain is opposing the man who wants to put this ridiculous idea into action.
#6- Immigration- John McCain believes that immigrants should come here only legally. He wants to increase border control so that people are not reaping the benefits (or messing around with them) illegally. Especially in the case that they are hurting this country by committing crimes, or causing people harm. Barack Obama believes that we should give immigrants amnesty! We should “open more paths for them to become citizens.” He doesn’t want to deport them if they come here illegally, but wants to help them??????
#7- Iraq War- John McCain thinks the Iraq War is a good decision by our president. Nobody necessarily likes the war, but have we had a single attack on our country since 9/11? No. He believes that the top priority of this country should be to keep our citizens safe, and that’s what’s happening now. He was in a war and who knows better how to treat our soldiers than a retired war hero. Barack Obama wants to stop the war and bring the soldiers home after all that they have been through, and have so many deaths IN VAIN.
#8- Economy-Wants to stop the war in Iraq and wants to cut taxes for 90% of Americans. [Wow, isn’t he generous? Oh, yeah—35% of Americans DONT PAY TAXES!]. John McCain wants to give us energy independence and give tax cuts to those who pay taxes. Wants to cut unnecessary government spending and has noted that Obama’s program will cost 286 BILLION dollars.
#9- Poverty-John McCain wants to continue welfare support but for less of a percentage of Americans. He is also going to require 40 hours a week of work from those receiving welfare. He also wants to give help for people who need housing, and tax breaks to the homeless. Barack Obama does not want to require ANY work from those receiving welfare and wants to INCREASE the percentage of those receiving it.
#10-Stem Cell Research-John McCain is against embryonic stem cell research. It is wrong, and just as bad as abortion, to take a developing baby out of a woman to do research on. All of this goes back to the idea that people can decide who should live and die. Who is to say that other than God??? But what people are trying to say is that man decides what is right and wrong and that there is NO God! The constitution is based around the premise that there is an ABSOLUTE right and wrong and that no one can decide what is and isn’t but GOD. So who exactly, but God, can decide who can live and die? Why was that baby put into that woman but to live on Earth and fulfill its purpose? That baby cannot speak for itself and NO ONE has the right to say that the baby should die for research! End of story. But Barack Obama believes in doing embryonic stem cell research!!! Just like he believes in abortion! HOW CAN PEOPLE VOTE FOR HIM??????

Resolutions to Science Issues
The following are my beliefs and what I believe to be the resolutions:
Offshore Drilling: Do it. Drill offshore, stop letting those other countries stick it to us. Get a long lasting solution NOW, rather than wasting 100 billion dollars on alternate fuel sources. It's time. Gas prices are high when they culd be low. We can't wait for these "alternate fuel sources" that will be twice as expensive to be developed.
NuclearWeapons: No. We neither need them or should have any desire to use them. Though this may seem hypocritical to the previous statement, it makes sense to have them on stand by, for real emergencies. Other than that I don't think we need them to be of regular use.
Global Warming: I am still a firm believer that this so called "Global Warming" is a myth. Sorry--well, actually, I'm not...I believe that global warming is a natural process that we are energizing and makin go more rapidly. The answer:Control th number of pollutants you release. This does not mean hairspray or other HARMLESS things.
